Training the next generation of cancer experts
We fund Fellowship programmes to train the cancer specialists of the future.
From robotic surgery to nursing training, specialists trained at The Royal Marsden bring their support to people affected by cancer, everywhere.
Robotic Surgery Fellowship
We fund the first Fellowship of its kind in the UK to train the next generation of surgeons on groundbreaking robotic surgical equipment.
Research Fellowships
We fund Pre-Doctoral Research Fellowships which allow nurses, pharmacists and other health professionals to carry out either a one or two-year research project to improve care for cancer patients.
Each year, we award £80,000 in funding to support three Pre-Doctoral Fellowships.
Caring for the whole person, not just their illness
We help fund vital services at The Royal Marsden that are helping patients to live well, with and beyond cancer.
We help to fund the Psychological Support Services, providing mental health support to patients and their families.
We help fund the Prehabilitiation service, preparing patients, mentally and physically, for treatment.
The Royal Marsden Hotline is a vital resource providing patients at The Royal Marsden with 24/7 support, medical advice and reassurance from experts, whenever they need it most.

Making breakthroughs at the Oak Cancer Centre
Thanks to our incredible supporters, we raised over £70 million to build the Oak Cancer Centre cancer treatment and research facility.
The Centre brings together over 400 researchers from a range of specialities under the same roof as patients and clinicians.
First 'softies' in range of skin tones for breast cancer patients
Thanks to funding from The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, The Royal Marsden launched the UK’s first fabric breast prosthesis, or 'softies', available in a variety of skin tones, in partnership with Nubian Skin.
'Emerging from the Haze' - supporting patients with 'chemo brain'
Staff at The Royal Marsden have developed and launched the UK's very first course to support patients experiencing CRCI, or 'Chemo brain', with funding from The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
